I have to be honest, I bought the adapter about a year ago and have never used it. However, I do have peace of mind knowing that I can recharge my camcorder (Sony DVD405) wherever I am. I use my camcroder to take photos of properties I list, record my little nephew's football games and various family get togethers. If I ever find myself running from A to B with no time to sit at home waiting to charge my camcorder, I can always plug it into my truck and have it charge during the commute.
